This tutorial covers being able to describe several events of how insects played a significant role in our history, define the term, “insecticide”, describe the following terms as related to insecticides: residual, contact, systemic, stomach poison, and translaminar movement, name the two general insecticide modes of action, describe the mission of the insecticide resistance action committee, provide examples of insecticide common active ingredients that target: muscular calcium channels, growth regulation, energy production, and midgut membranes.
